Mrs. Hayes’ Pre-Kinder Schedule:

Arrival 7:00-7:30a.m.Doors Close (Tardy bellrings at 7:35a.m.)7:00-7:30a.m. students start to arrive and they sit will sit in the gym, the gym is next to my classroom

7:30-7:45a.m. students enter the classroom at their table and eat their breakfast

(students may bring their own breakfast.)

7:45- 8:00a.m. Read the book of the day.

8:00- 8:45a.m. Circle Time on the Learning Rug

(Zoo phonics, numbers, and then we are going stand up and do learning videos, for the students can learn and move at the same time (they have to stay inside their rectangle.)

8:45-9:45a.m. Math

-Whole group math lesson (30 min)

-Math activities at their table in small groups (30 min)

9:45- 10:10a.m. Writing and Drawing as a class

10:10-10:30a.m. Restroom break and getting ready for Lunch in the cafeteria

(students may bring their own lunch/no soft drinks)

10:30-11:00a.m. – Lunch in the cafeteria

11:05- 11:20p.m.- Recess/Playground behind classroom

11:20-11:25a.m.- Restroom and water break

11:25-11:45a.m. Science and Social Studies

11:45a.m.-12:35p.m. Specials

Music, Art, Computers, Library, and P.E

12:35-12:40p.m.- Restroom and water break

12:40-1:40p.m. Reading

-Whole group literacy lesson

-Literacy activity at their table in small groups

1:40-2:00p.m. Snack Time (please make sure your child brings a snack daily.) restroom and water break

2:00-2:45p.m. Centers (six centers, (1. creative play/house, 2. math and science,3. blocks, 4. library, 5. technology, and 6. writing (abc).) I do add more centers as year progresses.

2:45-3:10p.m.- Getting ready for dismissal and story time.

Walkers- Doors will open by bus ramp at 3:15p.m.

Car Riders- Start calling car numbers at 3:15-3:30p.m.

Reminders:

· Your student can bring a bottle water daily (if they don’t bring their water, they can use class water fountain.)

· They may bring their own breakfast and lunch (no soft drinks and no candy for snack time.)

· Please make sure your child brings a snack daily (NO candy, and please make sure it is not messy, because we do eat it in the classroom.)

· Parents please write your child’s name with a sharpie on their water bottles, jackets (tag in the back), backpacks, and lunch boxes.

· Students are only allowed to bring water (sorry not even sport drinks) inside in the classroom, we eat breakfast and have snack time in the classroom.

· You do not have to write your child’s name on their school supplies.

· Anybody picking up your child at school must be on their Emergency Card and have a valid license.
