The Scarlets Dance Team of North Shore Senior High School

The Scarlets are a dance team that produces show stopping, star quality, and professional performances.  The Scarlets perform at such functions like all Varsity Football games for the North Shore Mustangs, Varsity Basketball games, school pep rallies, a Winter Showcase, events throughout the community, and contest in various locations.  They also produce a Spring Show in April that showcases all their hard work and dedication throughout the year with a culmination of dances and styles from the entire year.  The Scarlets are composed of students from the 10th, 11th, and 12 grades of North Shore Senior High, with a junior varsity team called the Reserves, which is composed of the 9th graders.

The Scarlets work together to produce the best show possible at every performance, as well as have high standards of etiquette and behavior in order to uphold the image of a Scarlet.  The traditions of being a part of the Scarlets organization are very important to our school pride and community. The Scarlets have been in existence since the spring of 1964. Our motto "Once a Scarlet, Always a Scarlet" means so much to all who have been involved with our organization.

We do have numerous fundraising events if you would like to get involved.  Please contact any Scarlet for information on the current fundraiser, or contact the Director, Mrs. Audra Taylor at ataylor@galenaparkisd.com or the Assistant Directors, Ms. An-Janet Smith at avsmith@galenaparkisd.com or Ms. Melanie Mouton at mmouton@galenaparkisd.com.
