About Me

Hello! My name is Mrs. Sarah Alvarado and I am a Pre-K 4 Teacher at Havard Elementary School in Galena Park ISD. I graduated from the University of Houston in May 2021 with my Bachelors in Hotel and Restaurant Management with hopes to enter the event industry. But something kept pulling me back to education and I became a Pre-K 4 teacher at Havard from 2021-2023 and then was a 2nd Grade ELA/SS teacher for 2023-2024. I went back to Pre-K in 2024! Prior to this, I worked in an early childhood center for over 7 years with ages ranging from 8 weeks to 5+ years of age. In my free time I like to spend time with my family, play with my 2 corgis (Gracie and Beans), go out to eat Tex-Mex food, visit friends and extended family, travel (especially cruising), and play board games.
