About/Sobre Mr. Martinez

Hello, my name is Mark Martinez. This will be my fifth year teaching and my 4th year teaching bilingual and I am beyond excited. This is my second year teaching at Green Valley Elementary.

I did part of my student teaching in Channelview ISD at Hamblen Elementary and I had some wonderful mentors there, but GPISD is my home as I graduated from NSSH in 2009.

I have been working with kids from ages 5-18 over the past 17 years, as I am the Head Age Group Swim Coach for North Channel Aquatics. I have also had the fortune of being the Head Water Polo Coach for the North Shore Mustangs Water Polo Teams (boys and girls), and I have been part of several select all-star teams for Gulf Swimming and USA Swimming.

I am beyond excited to start my sixth year of teaching here at Green Valley Elementary. I look forward to working alongside you and the students to grow academically and socially.

Hola, mi nombre es Mark Martínez. Este será mi quinto año enseñando y estoy super emocionado. Este es también mi segundo año enseñando aquí en la Escuela Primaria de Green Valley.

Hice parte de mi servicio social y estudiantil en Channelview ISD en Hamblen Elementary y tuve algunos mentores maravillosos allí, pero GPISD es mi casa ya que me gradué de NSSH en 2009.

He trabajando con niños de 5 a 18 años durante los últimos 17 años, ya que soy el entrenador principal de niños de 14 años para abajo en North Channel Aquatics. También he tenido la fortuna de ser el entrenador principal de waterpolo de los equipos de waterpolo (niños y niñas) de la high school para North Shore los ultimos 7 años, y he sido parte de varios equipos selectos de para Gulf Swimming y USA Swimming.

Estoy más que emocionado de comenzar mi sexto año de enseñanza y ahora aqui en la escuela primaria de Green Valley. Espero trabajar junto a usted y los estudiantes para crecer académica y socialmente.

I am a big Starbucks coffee drinker. I also drink Coke Zero, Cranberry Sprite (in the fall).

Me encanta el café y mas de Starbucks. También bebo Coca-Cola Zero, Cranberry Sprite (en otoño).

My Favorite Snacks are pop-corn and chips. I love salt and vinegar chips.

My Favorite Candy is Reese's Pennut butter cups and gummy bears, worms, sour patch kids.

Mis snacks favoritos son las palomitas de maíz y las papitas. Me encantan las papitas con sal y vinagre y los hot cheetos.

Mi dulce favorito son los chocolates tazas Reese y los ositos de goma, los gusanos de gomitas.

Favorite SPORTS Deportes Favoritos

My favorite sport is of course the sport is swimming, but I also love watching and playing Water Polo.

I am also a big Houston TEXANS, Houston ROCKETS, and Houston ASTROS fan. I love watching the games.

Lastly, I love watching gymnastics.

Mi deporte favorito es, por supuesto, la natación, pero también me encanta ver y jugar al waterpolo.
