VISUAL ART i
is a course that teaches students basic techniques. Students will explore a variety of two-dimensional and three-dimensional media throughout the year to build artistic confidence and creativity. Compositional solutions are also covered.
CERAMICS 1 & 2
This class will introduce students to building with clay. Emphasis will be placed on the design elements; line, shape, texture, and color. Focus will be on the hand building techniques; pinch, coil and slab. Functional as well as sculptural applications will be explored .
Ap 3d art & Design
Through more individualized instruction, greater independence, and an increased knowledge of media and techniques, students will continue to develop artwork that reflects a personal style and interpretation of the world around them.
In each course, you’ll investigate materials, processes, and ideas. You’ll make works of art and design by practicing, experimenting, and revising, and you will communicate your ideas about art and design through written and visual expression.
Syllabus and Classroom Requirements
Face-2-Face
There will be hand sanitizer at the front of the classroom to be used when entering and exiting the classroom but please remember hand sanitizer is not a replacement for proper hand washing.

Scoring Criteria & Section Weighting
Student's Creativity / problem solving skills used in unison with the elements and principles of design, ideas, and synthesis to fulfill assignment criteria.
40%
Student's Craftsmanship / attention to detail or neatness used throughout the art making process.
30%
Student's fulfillment of Instructions while demonstrating mastery of materials, or processes, and project parameters.
