Course Description
This practicum course is designed to prepare students for the Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) Photoshop certification exam. Students will master industry-standard digital imaging skills while developing creative projects aligned with Texas TEKS for CTE in Arts, A/V Technology and Communications. Coursework includes advanced photo editing, compositing, design principles, portfolio development, and certification exam practice.

Course Objectives
By the end of the course, students will:
- Demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Photoshop tools, workflows, and design principles
- Create professional-grade graphic design projects for multiple audiences and purposes
- Apply ethical and legal standards in digital media production
- Prepare for and successfully complete the Adobe Photoshop certification exam

Unit 1: Certification Readiness & Photoshop Foundations – Weeks 1–3
Unit 2: Advanced Editing & Image Enhancement – Weeks 4–6
Unit 3: Compositing & Creative Graphics – Weeks 7–9
Unit 4: Portfolio Piece Development – Weeks 10–12
Unit 5: Certification Practice & Review – Weeks 13–15
