About Me

Hello! My name is Mr. Garcia, and I am thrilled to be teaching English I Advanced, Creative Writing, and Literary Genres! We will have a fantastic, challenging, and exciting year. Please feel free to peruse the various items on this site.

About the Classes

English I Advanced

The class deals with learning different methods for analyzing texts, writing essays, and using the English language. This class was designed to prepare students for the STAAR exam.

Creative Writing

The class deals with various genres of creative writing. It will be focused on both the STAAR exam and the TSIA exam; this is contingent on student performance in the fall semester.

Literary Genres

This class is focused on learning about different genres of literature. It is intended as a TSIA prep course, but it can be used as a preparatory course for Dual Credit and AP.
