Class overview
World Cultures is the course name for 6th Grade Social Studies. Social Studies is so much more than just History. History will be just a small portion of our studies this year. During this course, we will study the 5 Strands of Social Studies as we travel around the world. The 5 strands of Social Studies are: Geography, History, Government, Economy, and Culture. Students will also learn various map skills to help better understand the world in which we live.
