8th Grade Reflection

Reflection

My 8th-grade year was really nice, but it was really stressful. 8th grade was fun at the end of the year because we had more free time since the STAAR test was already happening. The STAAR tests were hard for me, but I still tried my hardest to get a high grade. The classes had gotten easier and I had more time to spend with friends. The beginning of the year was really stressful because I tried to keep my grades high, but then I realized that I would be fine and that there was no reason to worry. In encounters, I would stay after school with my friends and work on our projects or sometimes play basketball while the projects were drying. We would play volleyball in advisory and I would spend my lunch with my teacher. The school also had several students vs teachers games and they were very exciting. We also had a dodgeball tournament and I was cheering for all my friends. My science class took us to the Dynamo stadium and we did several math and science-related activities around the stadium. For the student council, we plan to go to Main Event and have fun. I also won 3rd place in the Spanish spelling bee and I am proud because I had not studied for it and I still placed. Even though there were many downfalls in 8th grade, I still managed to keep calm and have fun. 8th grade was a very calm year and I feel prepared for entering High School next year.Â
