PTA Vision
Parents, grandparents, educators and legislators, neighbors and community leaders: you are all essential members of the PTA family and provide a powerful and effective voice for all children.
Our future leaders, innovators, citizens and soldiers are our children, and our children are given their best chance to succeed when we all work together.
PTA is an organization made up of parents, teachers and others around the state who have an interest in children, families and schools. PTA membership is as diverse as Texas is in cultures, education levels and parenting skills. By joining PTA, a member becomes part of the largest child advocacy organization in the state with over 500,000 members across Texas.

Why join PTA? PTA connects families and schools, facilitating school involvement. From local level parent education meetings to the Texas PTA annual convention, PTA encourages learning and the sharing of accomplishments and concerns. Ultimately, PTA provides the opportunity to serve, to volunteer, and to contribute to the welfare of community and school. Have input in major legislative and policy issues affecting children throughout Texas. Make your voice heard and exercise your right to vote. Take an active role in your child's education. The staff of MacArthur Elementary understands the importance of collaboration, teamwork, and a close connection between home and school. We have 100% of our staff once again for having joined PTA this year, and earning us Texas PTA's Golden Apple Award!
