Harvard University is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Harvard was founded in 1636 by the Massachusetts General Court. The acceptance rate at Harvard is 5.6 percent. One of Harvard’s biggest traditions is “Listen for the bells” and what the tradition is that every year bells around Cambridge and across the river will ring for 15 minutes. The Harvard mascot is John Harvard the Pilgrim. Harvard is officially free for those with less than 65,000 in annual family income. There are 4 books made out of human skin at the library at Harvard University. 8 of Harvard’s alumni had their signatures on the Declaration of Independence. Harvard University is known for being one of the most prestigious schools in the world. I plan to major in Art, Design, and the Public at Harvard because I want to be a Fashion Designer. I want to become a fashion designer because I want to make new clothes that cannot be found at the store and I want to help people find what they are looking for. As a wise person once said, “Believe in yourself and be prepared to work hard”.
