The Green iguana is not from here
Have to flee
Sailed from the Caribbean to the Americas
Like an explorer at sea
Kapow! With their spiny, wicked tails
They come in a variety of colors
green, orange, and brown scales
Their tails can unhitch
Falling off like its nothing
Like the controller of someone's Nintendo Switch
Their razor-sharp claws are freshly sharpened blades
Can cut through millions of diamonds
We're a part of foreign trades
Thriving in human-populated areas is something they do
Destroying sidewalks and foundations
In burrows, they dig through
Their inconvenience makes them despised
Florida gave orders saying
“Killing them is advised”
They have some effects environmentally
Spreading nasty diseases
Like salmonella, accidentally
Also, they can be a trouble
Blocking and destroying roads
Leaving behind them the rubble
These iguanas come with a high cost
With all the property damage
And need to be removed or tossed
