My name is Jorge Cuellar and I have been teaching physical education at Pyburn Elementary since 1996. I was born and raised in the Houston area and attended the University of Houston where I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology. I am married and have two wonderful children who attended Pyburn as well as WAMS and GPHS. My outside interests are staying physically active, listening to music and playing guitar and harmonica.
I enjoy participating in many physical activities and love sharing that passion with students. Physical education at Pyburn Elementary is a fun and exciting experience! Minds, bodies and abilities are challenged on a daily basis. I hope that when students leave Pyburn, they have the knowledge, skills and confidence to enjoy the rewards of an active lifestyle.
CLASS RULES
1. When the whistle blows... STOP and LISTEN.
2. Keep hands feet and other objects to yourself.
3. Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
PROCEDURES
Walk to your spots.
Raise your hand to speak.
Follow instructions.
Water bottles should have your name on it and will be put against the wall.
CONSEQUENCES
Verbal warnings.
Conference with the teacher.
Conference with the parent.
Office referral.
DAILY ACTIVITIES
Health (health lessons will be

Warm-ups (walk, jog, and motor skills)
Exercises (strength building activities)
Main Activity (game or sport skills)
