I am currently a 6th grade Social Studies teacher at Galena Park Middle School. I achieved my undergrad degree in teaching from Stephen F. Austin State University and my graduate degree from Lamar University. Growing up within the educational system (both of my parents are retired educators) I witnessed first hand the importance of what an education can do for you. 

The reason I chose to pursue a degree in Educational Technology is due to the fact that technology has naturally woven itself into our daily lifestyles. I believe technology can be used as a tool for gaining a plethora of knowledge in many ways and not just a simplistic tool for social entertainment alone. I plan to use technology through various ways within my classroom to help my students and my community build better research skills with an adaptive hands-on learning environment.
