Game 1: Wheel barrel puzzle workout
- Materials:
- Medium sized wooden puzzle board
Game prep:
- Set-up a wooden puzzle board and scatter the pieces around a room.
Game Play: Great exercise for building upper-body strength.
1. Grab your child’s ankles (or hips to make it a bit easier for little ones) and hold them up so they can walk on their hands to collect the puzzle pieces around the room.
2. They have to bring each piece back 1‑by‑1 and fit it into the board until the puzzle is complete.
GAME 2.
Exercise Bubbles!!
Materials:
- Container of bubbles with wand
- Open area
- paper/jar
- 2 or more players
Game prep:
- Select several different exercises to focus on for the day (jumping jacks, planks etc.. ) and write them on a piece of paper
- Place all of the papers in a jar, than select one exercises.
- Objective: To pop as many bubbles by any means before they hit the ground.
Game Play:
- One person blows the bubbles
- The other person must pop all bubbles before they hit the ground.
- Each bubble that hits the ground the person has to do 10 of the exercises picked from the jar.
- The person who pops the most bubbles wins!!
Game 3: Triple Threat Mission Impossible
Materials:
- yarn/string
- tape
- hall way clear of objects
Game Prep:
- Create a "laser" maze by taping the yarn across the hallway using various heights, and angles.
Game Play:
- Each person starts at the beginning of the hall way
- Each person must make it to the end of the hallway using various body movements to work around the "laser" yarn without touching them
- If the "laser" yarn is touched in any way, the person must complete a Triple Threat exercise (10 jumping jacks, 10 push-ups and 10 sit ups) and start over
- First person to reach the other side without touching the laser yarn wins
Game 4: Exercise Dice Games
Materials:
- You need at least 2 players for this interactive game
- paper
- scissors
- markers/colors
- glue
GAME PREP:
Game Play:
- -One person rolls the dice, and follows the directions
- The second person takes a turn
- The game continues until one person can no longer continue
- The person who lasts the longest without stopping wins!!
