Research Goals for Encountering History Architecture
Week of Sep 1 Introduction to Architecture and Various Structures
Sept 8 & Sept 15 The teacher will show how to read,
paraphrase, and take notes on an
article, book, or website
Sept 15 Student will begin looking at structures and
fill out the research sheet about a
structure they are interested in studying
Sept 22 Student will examine the list
and select at least two structures
Oct 5 - Dec 12 Begin taking notes and have them
checked by the teacher regularly
Jan The student will begin to break their
notes into categories of architect's life, construction time
period, and structure characteristic & facts to
discuss (Each category will be written
in paragraph form)
Feb Continue to work on paragraphs, Title
Page, and Works Cited Page
April 17 Research paper, Title Page, and Works
cited page must be complete by the end
of the week.
