William E. Boeing

A man with great goals

For his time, they were mindblowing

He dreamt of plane controls

Planes weren’t always the dream

He’d started off in the timber industry,

Shortly after leaving the Yale academe

Years later aviation became a source of curiosity

Boeing learned how to fly

He had a vision for planes

He wished to help others soar the sky

He took planes to a greater step, despite the losses or gains

With the help of his business partner, George C. Westervelt

Pacific Aero Products was formed

Yet George’s love for airplanes wasn’t heartfelt

He left the company to Boeing to reform

Boeing’s company flew people, but also mail

Not only that, but also supplied war planes

Sadly this, almost took him to jail

His company was split up due to monopoly claims

Despite his run-ins with law

Boeing helped in the wars

Supplying planes that would fly to aid Warsaw

Helping the U.S. land major scores

After such great contributions

Boeing decided it was time to secede

He was content with his great institutions

And he knew their success was guaranteed

He left flying and settled on something small

He became a real estate agent and a horse breeder

Yet he’d become more inclined into putting his family above all

His only son becoming his heart’s leader

From lumber to planesg

To horse breeding and real estate

William E. Boeing was a jack of all trades
