Boom, does that grab attention? This year was great I had friends, laughs, good memories there were also some bad memories all gathered into a year loosely gathered together by a calender. This very fine year I had a lot of growth physically, mentally, personally and academically.
This year I learn quite a bit I learned about not just things like quadratic functions, and how to write an essay, but also about my future as a scholar. I started studying for tests instead of winging it the day before, and I took notes in class, but that stuff is all small potatoes. I started thinking about my future beyond high school for example I landed on Rice University as my dream school. The academic achievements are less than I hoped I got second place in modern oratory U.I.L. and few high scores, but I needed more to stand out especially when my classmates seemed to be earning awards left and right. As the saying goes even of a dog can play the piano people will eventually start to wonder if it plates well (James Baldwen)
I had a lot more personal growth this year than academic. I started to care more about my body, so I started working out. I got more friends because I chilled out about the rules, and I started being kinder to people. I all these accomplishments ended up being a source of pride for me, and I like not eating lunch alone anymore.
Next year I am headed to high school. I decided to transfer to North Shore High because I wanted to be closer to home. In this new year I would like to join more extra ciriculars, and to rebuild my rapport with these new people at North Shore. I also wish to start watching my food intake because I don’t have much control currently. I have one challenge for all the other classmates try to keep up I hope to see y’all at Rice.
