Reflecting on my year as a 7th grader, it has been quite a year. It consists of mixed emotions, new opportunities, friendships broken, challenges faced, and new discoveries. Middle school has taught me many things that are important to life, friendships, manners, taking care of yourself, responsibility, and most importantly education.
I have academically changed and have learned important lessons. I had been challenged with new subjects, advanced classes, after school activities and many more. I pushed myself to continue working hard throughout the school year and it has significantly paid off. Advanced classes prove that you can always push yourself to go for the extra step in your education. Even though school is stressful I managed to keep a good grade and keep my school life balanced. There are many things I learn to keep my life balanced such as responsibility, dedication, perseverance, confidence, and leadership.
I was very social in 7th grade; always busy doing something if that was helping out a classmate or doing the never ending homework our teachers gave us everyday. I was always trying to find new hobbies to cure my boredom such as singing at our WAMS Choir, or playing volleyball outside in my backyard. I was always with my friends, but with good and bad in people and even in myself some friendships just didn't work out. I couldn't go one day without seeing my friends during lunch.
Other than my course classes, my extra curricular classes helped me develop my love for school. Some of the additional classes I participated in were, Choir, Girls Club, Student Council, National Junior Honors Society, UIL, PALS, Student of the Month and Craft Crew. These classes expanded my social circle and helped me be more confident with people that I don't really talk with. I was always very adventurous and busy. Even out of school I will always by filled with thing I need to do. On the weekends I love to go to party’s and dance with my cousins. I don’t like to be by myself so I will always ask if anyone wants to hang out at my house.
At the end of the year, I can look back and say that I have achieved my goal of being myself and I get to reflect on myself, my actions, and my failures so I can improve myself for the next year of middle school and also for the rest of my life. I am extremely grateful for all the opportunities that have been given throughout the year, and I hope I will have many more in the future so I can express my great qualities; just like I did in my 7th grade year!
