My name is Talisha Oliva. I am the Reading Specialist at Cobb Sixth Grade Campus. I grew up in the North Shore area and attended all Galena Park I.S.D.'s schools. I went to college at Texas Southern University and graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's degree. I have experience teaching preschool through 8th grade. I absolutely LOVE teaching reading and other literacy lessons. Designing and delivering reading instruction in small groups of students is what I do most of the day .Recommending books, modeling lessons, assisting teachers with literacy instruction, and building a community of readers are a few of the other things that make my days enjoyable at Cobb Sixth Grade Campus.

My husband and I live in the Houston area with our dog, Fluffy. In my spare time, I love to read, shop, and spend time with my identical twin sister.
