My name is Cynthia Garcia.  I am excited to begin the 2023/2024 year as the 8th grade counselor at Cunningham Middle School!  I have one daughter who is the greatest joy in my life.  I have been in education my entire life in different capacities.  I attended school in the former North Forest ISD and begin my teaching career in the Houston Independent School District and enjoyed every year of my classroom experience.  I received my Undergraduate Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston Downtown with a focus on Education.  I then went to the University of St. Thomas and received my Master's in Counseling. I am a naturally intuitive person who cares for each student and want to get to know each student by name.  I look forward to working with students, parents, and staff at CMS!

Mi nombre es Cynthia García. ¡Estoy emocionado de comenzar el año 2023/2024 como consejero de octavo grado en Cunningham Middle School! Tengo una hija que es la alegría más grande de mi vida. He estado en educación toda mi vida en diferentes capacidades. Asistí a la escuela en el antiguo Distrito Escolar Independiente de North Forest y comencé mi carrera docente en el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Houston y disfruté cada año de mi experiencia en el salón de clases. Recibí mi Licenciatura en Estudios Interdisciplinarios de la Universidad de Houston Downtown con un enfoque en Educación. Luego fui a la Universidad de St. Thomas y recibí mi Maestría en Consejería.
