Course Description:
The purpose of this course is to enhance social competence through explicit instruction of skills necessary to engage in successful communication, enhance self-awareness, and navigate the social world both in and out of the classroom atmosphere. This course will explore a wide variety of coping strategies and stress management techniques.
Choice Boards are utilized to give students an option in how concept mastery is presented.
Students' IEP goals will also be incorporated into the lessons.

About Me:
I have a variety of experience and expertise in behavior management and training. Prior to teaching, I had a long career managing employees in the private sector. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Master's degree in Leadership, and am currently pursuing a post-graduate certification (Educational Diagnostician). I hold teaching certifications in the following areas: Core Subjects EC-6, Core Subjects 4 - 8, Special Education EC-12.
I understand the importance of cultivating relationships, both in and outside the classroom. Working in collaboration with the student and parents, I am confident that together, we can prepare students to face the challenges that await them in adulthood. I am excited to overcome the challenges that this school year presents.
