This book is called The Diary of a Wimpy Kid No Brainer and the one who wrote this is called Jeff Kinney. This book is a part of a series and it is the 18th book of the series. Also the genre of this book is realistic fiction. The impact that the book had on me was that it made me like to read more of this types of these books.
The main character of this book is Greg Heffley and he is smart in doing sneaky stuff but not in school. Also he is skillful in doing things that don’t involve hard work. I was able to connect with this character because he has a similar family like me and I also try to help.
Most of the time this takes place at the school that Greg goes to and also in his house. Greg's school isn't the smartest because most of the teachers do not know what they are doing and he doesn’t really know a lot and it is very crazy. And his house is kind of chill , but it is still a little crazy.
The overflow of the story is chronological order because it goes in order of his everyday life. The main conflict of this book is that the town says that they would close the crumbling building. Greg didn’t care about it so much ,but then he realized that he might be sent to a different school without his friends. But then Greg and his classmates were able to make their school stay open. The lesson of this book is that you should always help someone when they need help because Greg realized that his school needed help to not be shut down so he helped and so did his classmates.
Some way the author could make this book better is by adding color because it would look even better and it also looks cool. And this would make it easier to be able to feel that you are in the story because now you can see the colors.
Another reader my age would like to read this book because it is pretty funny and entertaining to read. .I enjoy this book a lot because I like realistic fiction. Also I like to read books that have drawings or pictures in them. Somebody else would enjoy this book if they read funny books or if they can understand more with drawing or pictures.
