6th grade Reflection

When I first arrived at WAMS, I was a mix of nervousness and excitement. I was lost most of the time trying find my classes and a bit shy at first since I didn't know a lot of people in my classes. For maybe the first month and a few weeks I was in regular classes. I was then moved to Pre-Ap but even then like one or two classes were still regular.

Later on, I was moved to Encounters 6 with Mr. Skipper. I remember my hair being kinda messy when I walked in. I only knew a few people there from previous classes. At first, I mostly talked to the people I knew or the ones at my table. I eventually did get to know everyone and made some new friends. We did a lot of fun things in Encounters like the shoebox project where we created a mini village or something from the medieval times. We had also written an essay about the medieval times, and we had three different sections. I had chosen hairstyles, clothing and feudalism. We had also done another project, making our own shield. We never finished it because of coronavirus.

So We sadly had to do our work from home when the pandemic started which was not very fun. We had to usually do what would've been work done as a class alone. I was also not able to see my friends and even if I did, I had to not get too close. I couldn't talk to them since I didn't a phone which really sucked. When the school year ended I think I got four awards or certificates. It was a fun but a kind of chaotic school year because of covid and getting used to being in middle school.
