My name is Alton St.Rose, and I am one of the Biology teachers here at North Shore 9 campus. This will be my 9th year as a Biology teacher, but my 3rd year on this campus. I am coming from Fort Bend ISD at Elkins HS. I was able to achieve a HAASBE Teacher of the Year award and was nominated as a Teacher of the Year on that campus.
I am a graduate of North Shore, class of 2006, and I am happy to be back on the #EASTSIDE! I went to college at UTSA (Univ. of Texas in San Antonio) and in Puerto Rico (UPRIA - Metro). I am a track and field enthusiast! (its the best sport in the world!). I love meeting new people, enjoying different cultures, being a lifelong learner, and staying stress-free.
My biggest goal this year is to make sure my students pass the Biology STAAR test the first time. "Teachers who love teaching teach children to love learning."
