Angel's Adventurous and Ambitious life
A soon to be mother came to the U.S. from Mexico, and a soon to be veteran father came to the U.S. from El Salvador. They had two children already named Jonathan and Jesse. However, on the day of May 5th, 2012, they had another kid. His parents’ first thought? “Let’s name him Angel Fuentes.” His family has had a legacy of joining the military ever since Angel’s grandfather during the 100 hour war, now the newest military member in his family being Jesse in the army branch.
Angel has many interests and hobbies in the arts and sports. His interest in art include drawing and sketching, arts & crafts, writing. Angel’s interests in the sports world are American football, track & field, and kickboxing. His last interests are coding and video games. Why do these hobbies matter to him? They matter to him because they help challenge, express, and occupy himself.
Angel was a smart kid growing up. In elementary he was an A and B student, and received the Super Colt Award as well as honor roll thrice in a row. In middle school he has won three medals, two from UIL, and one from Geobee. In addition to the three medals, he has won two trophies, one from STEM challenge and a heart award trophy.
Angel has many goals this year. His goals in school include, winning a football game this school year and being in color guard. Angel’s academic competition goals are winning first place in both UIL and GeoBee. To conclude, his personal goals are advancing in kickboxing, learning how to code, and improving his cardiovascular system.
