Hello, parents and guardians,

Welcome to U.S. History 2025-2026 School Year!!! My name is Ana Cristina Alvarez, and I was born in Veracruz, Mexico, a beautiful state with a lot of history. Like many immigrants, I moved to the U.S. looking for better opportunities. I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown, earning my bachelor's degree in history with a minor in Secondary Education. As a parent of three kids, I understand the importance of a teacher-parent partnership, and I hope to provide the same quality of time and education that I want my own children to receive. 

I'm thrilled about the incredible year ahead and the opportunity to get to know you and your child.

¡¡¡Bienvenidos al año escolar 2025-2026 de Historia de Estados Unidos!!! Mi nombre es Ana Cristina Alvarez y nací en Veracruz, México, un hermoso estado con mucha historia. Como muchos inmigrantes, me mudé a Estados Unidos en busca de mejores oportunidades. Me gradué de la Universidad de Houston-Downtown y obtuve mi licenciatura en Historia con especialización en Educación Secundaria. Como padre de tres niños, entiendo la importancia de una colaboración entre maestros y padres y espero brindar la misma calidad de tiempo y educación que quiero que reciban mis propios hijos.
