6th grade was a pretty hard grade, but at the same time weird. Starting middle school was hard at first because I didn't understand the schedules or periods. It took me a pretty long time to understand because the teachers sometimes didn't know what to do either. Besides that, I actually liked all my classes but my favorite was band class. We learned to read music and how to count notes and rhythms, including learning to play instruments. Weeks passed and Mr. Skipper, our ELAR teacher from 6th grade told us to do a research paper which stressed a lot of us out because it was hard. After a couple of weeks, we had to turn it in. We after had another project, we spent weeks on it. Later we had spring break when the worst thing happened, we never came back to school, everyone had to go back to school virtually because the strong virus Covid-19, was spreading all over the world and this virus is deadly. This was also really stressful and hard because sometimes our computer didn’t work and we had tons of technical problems. It also felt like teachers were posting a lot of work, us students most of the time didn’t even have time for our selves, we had to be in class for almost the whole day and after we had tons ad tons of homework, which took us about 2 hours to complete after that it was already bedtime we had to go to sleep early to be able to wake up the next day in time to attend school. Weekends came, those were the only days we had for ourselves. After months passed, the district let us go back to school but we had to follow all precautions to not get Covid in school. This was the weirdest school year I’ve ever had.
