Throughout my sixth grade year I have accomplished many things. Some examples are: getting accepted into Encounters at the beginning of the year, being recruited onto our school's color guard team, and joining The National Junior Honor society because of my good grades. Though these accomplishments did not simply come from pure luck, it was hard work and late nights of studying and practicing. And I can proudly say that it was not only my dedication to my work, but the encouragement received from my friends. Throughout this year I have made many new friends and really enjoy spending time with them. They are the light in my day, and I am always glad to come to school just to see them everyday. Something memorable that I think I will remember for the rest of my life would be my first day of middle school. I was so nervous about this new chapter of my life and wasn't sure how the first day would play out. I remember sitting in my chair while fidgeting with my jacket, not really paying attention. But when I looked around and saw that there were many other kids who were just as nervous as I was, I gained a little bit of my confidence back. I started talking to the people in my class, and eventually those people became close friends. Now, it's April, and after learning so much and spending so many hours in the classroom, the year is almost over. But unfortunately, once summer is over we will be right back to do it all over again.
