My name is Alejandra Avina, and I am 13 years old. I was born on December 20th 2010 in Houston, Texas at St Joseph's hospital. Both of my parents are from Zacatecas, Mexico. I have 4 siblings, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. My oldest brother is 18, my other brother is 15, my oldest sister is 17, and my youngest sister is 6 years old. I am the 2nd youngest of 5. All my siblings went to waes, wams and now they're going to gphs. Me and my family are very close to each other, especially me and my older sister.

I have a couple hobbies which are, I like to go to the park with my sibling and play on the swings,  and also I love going shopping with my mom and sister because I like to get new things for myself and I just like going to the mall because it's really fun to walk around , try on things and see things. I don't really have any other hobbies that I can think of but I do like to hang out with my best friend Giselle. We like to go eat together whenever we're bored or want to see each other.

A couple accomplishments that i've done before would be whenever I had a lot of work to do for my math class in 6th grade because I never liked that class and the teacher told me that I had to do my work to be able to pass so I spent the whole night that day doing all my work and I completed it all. Another thing that I've been able to accomplish is whenever I thought I was going to fail my STAAR test in 5th grade but I ended up passing the test with a masters.

I have a couple goals for myself this year and in the future which are passing all my classes that I have this year, and I also have another goal which is to grow up and go to college, get a good job and become someone I would be proud of. Other goals I have are passing the four STAAR tests that I have to take this year in 8th grade. My last goal that I have for myself is to be more positive and believe in myself more because sometimes I feel like I can't do something and just end up giving up.
