We recommend planning at least 6-9 months in advance for most destinations and 9-12 months in advance for bucket-list trips. This ensures best availability and pricing, and it allows us to curate an exceptional and seamless experience.

CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE LAST-MINUTE TRIP REQUESTS?

While we strive to accommodate our clients' needs, trip requests made less than 30 days prior to departure cannot be accommodated. For trip requests within 30-90 days, accommodation is subject to availability and may incur an expedited planning fee. It's always best to plan ahead for the most enjoyable and stress-free experience.

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE STARTING INVESTMENT FOR ITINERARIES WITH GO WANDER TRAVEL CO.?

Most of our itineraries begin with an investment of approximately $1,000 - $1,200 per day. Keep in mind that this average cost varies based on factors such as the destination, time of year, and overall itinerary complexity.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL PERKS OR BENEFITS WHEN BOOKING THROUGH GO WANDER TRAVEL CO.?

ARE YOU PAID A COMMISSION? DOES THE COMMISSION ADD TO THE COST OF THE TRIP?

Travel advisors are paid on a fee + commission basis. The fee is to compensate for the significant amount of time dedicated to planning your trip, whereas the commission is a small percentage from the travel supplier that is issued only after you have completed your travel with us. The commission is a standard industry practice where travel advisors, like us, receive a thank-you fee from travel partners for bringing them business. Whether you book directly with a hotel or through us, the cost remains the same. Our commitment is to ensure you receive the best value and experience for your investment.

WHAT ARE THE TRAVEL PLANNING FEES FOR GO WANDER TRAVEL CO.?

Fees start at $350 for standard vacation packages, $500+ for custom-crafted itineraries, and $125 - $200+ per person for small groups. 

CAN I USE POINTS OR MILES FOR AIRFARE?

The use of miles/points for airfare specifically is always encouraged and definitely the way for you to get the most "bang for your buck" for those hard-earned loyalty points. We will still research air options on your behalf, you will just need to confirm the booking on your own and forward us the confirmation to ensure a seamless experience with the multiple components of your trip. 

CAN I USE POINTS OR MILES FOR HOTELS?

Using points for hotels is examined on a case-by-case basis and will incur a 10% service fee in order to account for the commission loss for the travel advisor.

CAN GO WANDER TRAVEL CO. ASSIST WITH BOOKING AIRBNB ACCOMMODATIONS?

We cannot assist with Airbnb specifically due to third-party booking restrictions and being unable to ensure quality. We do, however, have access to other vacation-home properties and villas through our vetted partners.

DO YOU PROVIDE A DETAILED, LINE-ITEM BREAKDOWN OF PRICING FOR MY TRIP?

In most cases, we are unable to provide line-item pricing and instead will typically provide one complete price for your trip. Due to confidential supplier contracts, we are often not permitted to provide pricing for individual components.

DO I REALLY NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Purchasing travel insurance is optional, however it is always strongly recommended. Even if your trip isn't canceled, there are still many scenarios in which travel insurance can be especially helpful, including travel delays, illness, and injury. Protecting your investment ensures you can travel with peace of mind.
