  4. Take your paw print anywhere and display it proudly becoming part of the Wildcat family!

3: Chocolate Chip Cookies:


With your parents permission and supervision try out our Chocolate Chip cookies recipe below that we make in Grade 10 foods (HFN2O)

Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS:


1 ¼ cups Flour

¼ teaspoon Baking Soda

¼ teaspoon Salt


½ cup Shortening

½ cup Granulated Sugar

¼ cup Lightly packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon Vanilla

1 Egg

¾ cup Chocolate Chips


METHOD:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Lightly grease the baking sheet with shortening.

  3. In a medium bowl, sift or blend together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  4. In a large bowl cream together the shortening, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla.

  5. Add the egg to the creamed mixture, and beat until light and fluffy.

  6. Stir in the dry ingredients until mixed well.

  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  8. Drop batter from a teaspoon about 2 inches apart onto the lightly greased baking sheet.

  9. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes, or until light and golden brown

  10. Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies
