Jazz band
This ensemble is open to students who already have some basic skill on one of the following instruments: trumpet, saxophone, trombone, piano, bass guitar, electric guitar, drum kit.
Students meet weekly to rehearse jazz band music. Genres include: swing, funk, pop/rock, latin, etc.
The music room is open during lunch hours for students to practice their music in preparation for weekly rehearsals. Students are also welcome to take their instruments home to prepare.
The jazz band preforms at school concerts, feeder school shows, and community events.
CONCERT BAND
This ensemble is open to any student enrolled in a band class. Instrumentation includes: oboe, flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, bassoon, trombone, baritone, tuba, or concert percussion (ie. timpani, snare drum, bass drum, mallets, auxiliary percussion

Music Council
Music council meets at lunch once of week to plan an organize music concerts and events. It is open to all Westminster students.
