Thank you to all the students who will be part of our Scholastic Crew. We will be unpacking and setting up the fair on November 21st. Listen for the announcements!
Our Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled to arrive the end of next week. The fair will run the last week of November, Monday, November 24th to Friday the 28th. Our school goal this year is to save up our Scholastic money to purchase a large reading rug for our new Belmont School library and several favourite fair books for each of the classrooms.
Classrooms will be scheduled for a preview visit by their teacher in the first two days. Families are invited to come and shop together after school on the evening of Tuesday, November 25th from 3:30 - 6:00 pm. Purchasing will continue from Tuesday evening to Friday at noon.
On Friday afternoon all the reorders will be submitted and it will take approximately a week for them to be delivered to the school. A Student Crew Member will deliver them to your student's class.
As a family, explore the featured books, browse the junior and senior flyers, watch the book trailers and discuss with your students an appropriate budget amount.
Families may sign up for the Mydoh to securely buy items. Mydoh is backed by RBC https://schol.ca/x/mydoh
In the month of September classrooms from Grade 1 - 8 receive two start-up lessons in total from Mrs. Webster to instruct students how to search for both physical and digital books. Teachers also review or learn how to check in and out books for their homeroom students. Junior and Intermediate students are shown how to access their library accounts to check the items they have out and how to reserve items.
Number of books each student is permitted.
Kindergarten = 1 book
Grades 2 - 3 = 2 books
Grades 4 - 6 = 3 books
Grades 7 - 8 = 4 books
