It is time to round up all the books and get them onto their proper places on the shelves ready for September! All the books are to be returned by Monday, June 16th. Thank you for your cooperation with this! Any overdues/ checkout slips will be sent out the week of June 16th - June 20th. Check your Insignia account online to make sure you don't have any books out!
One of my favourite things to do in the summer is to read under a tree in my hammock. I also love to bike to my local public library, visit with the librarians and explore the shelves for a good book. There are so many great options to keep reading! The Belmont Librarians will be visiting on the last day of school to tell us all about the Summer Reading Program.

In the month of September classrooms from Grade 1 - 8 receive two start-up lessons in total from Mrs. Webster to instruct students how to search for both physical and digital books. Teachers also review or learn how to check in and out books for their homeroom students. Junior and Intermediate students are shown how to access their library accounts to check the items they have out and how to reserve items.
Number of books each student is permitted.
Kindergarten = 1 book
Grades 2 - 3 = 2 books
Grades 4 - 6 = 3 books
Grades 7 - 8 = 4 books
