ENGLISH AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY :

“Finding Your Voice in a Digital World”

Grade 11 Open Business combined with Grade 11 English College or University

Rapid changes in information and communication technology have an impact on all aspects of life. How do we develop and share our voices in this rapidly changing digital environment? This combined course will allow students to achieve the curriculum expectations for either grade 11 University level English OR grade 11 College level English as well as the curriculum expectations for grade 11 Open Information and Communication Technology. Students will develop in-demand 21st century communication skills through exploration of real-world challenges and technology. This is a two-period block of time. (In the event that student interest exceeds space in the course, students will be contacted and asked to share a brief explanation of their interest in the course.)

Prerequisite: English, Grade 10 (applied or academic)
