Independent Activities
Partner Practice: 1 game board, 1 die and set of 2 sets of counters for each player. Roll dice. Cover the number that is ONE LESS than the number you rolled. Play until all numbers are covered. If your number is already covered, miss a turn. Winner is the person who has the most counters on the game board.
Find two things that you can "tap" together like drum sticks. Wood dowels, spoons, large blocks or a spoon and a plastic cup/bowl will work for the Rhythm Stick Songs below.

MAKE A FORT!
Watch the videos below to get some ideas about fort making. When completed, choose a basket of books and a few small quiet toys to take with you to the fort. If you have a flashlight, bring that as well and enjoy reading and playing. You can even make shadow stories with your toys !

How can you show kindness today?
Draw a picture and write a sentence about what you did today to show kindness.
CVC writing activity (If time). Can be used in place of the previous activities if you like.

Sing this song and think about one of your best friends or someone you love.
When you are done watching, take some time to colour a picture or draw a picture for that person you love. Think of them as you colour.
Give it to them next time you see them!
