The Specialist High Skills Major is a Ministry-approved specialized program which allows students to focus their learning in a particular sector while meeting the requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). It assists in their transition from secondary school to apprenticeship training, college, university or the workplace. It allows students to experience a range of customized learning opportunities to explore, identify, and refine career goals and make informed decisions related to to post-secondary education, training and workplaces. Through an SHSM, students begin to establish relationships and build networks in their specialized sector. Students will receive a unique designation on their OSSD which is recognized province wide. Saunders offers programs in Arts and Culture, Construction, Health and Wellness, Hospitality and Tourism and Manufacturing.
