Attention Saunders Sabres Grads!!

 We are almost there!! As we are getting closer to our Virtual Commencement Ceremony on Friday, June 25th, we are sharing with you some very important dates and information. 

GRAD BAG PICK UP / VIRTUAL COMMENCEMENT INFORMATION: Friday, June 25th: 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. Please come to the gym entrance on the south side of the school to pick up your grad bags and take some photos with your grad cap and tassel. These are included in your grad bags along with a Commencement program, a certificate, any awards, and a special gift from your Student Council!! 

The Dippin Dots ice cream truck will be on-site for a warm-weather treat. Don’t miss out! 

** There will be a photo station available outside of the building – take a photo of yourself and your parents with  a grad cap and tassel on!! 2 guests per grad are permitted** 

All Covid safety protocols must be in place to make this a safe event for everyone. Only students will be permitted inside the building.

Last Names: 

A to F: 10 a.m. –12 p.m.

G to M: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. 

N to Z: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

Open (any alpha): 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

Friday, June 25th: 7 pm Saunders Virtual Commencement Ceremony viewing via YouTube goes live!

Gather with your families after you pick up your Grad Bag and enjoy the ceremony at home!

You will be emailed a link that will go live on Friday, June 25th by 7 pm!

**If you missed out on requesting the link to the virtual ceremony, please email the school at saunders@tvdsb.ca to request the link.  Once you have the link, you can also share it with other family members if you’re not gathering together to watch.** 

If you couldn’t make it to pick up your grad bag on Friday, June 25th, please come to the south side gym entrance of the school on Monday, June 28 from 3 to 6 p.m. **Please note that the photo station is only available on Friday, June 25th**

DIPLOMAS: As in past years, diplomas will be ready for pick up in early July, once all grades have been finalized. Please stay tuned to your email for separate pick up information for diplomas. 

MONETARY AWARDS: We are expecting cheques for students who are receiving monetary awards throughout June and the summer. If we do not have your cheque by June 25, you will be contacted individually to arrange pickup once cheques are delivered to the school.

Your Commencement Committee is continuing to work hard to create a memorable Virtual Commencement ceremony for you and your family! 

You will be able to view the ceremony on Friday, June 25th, by 7 pm! 

We have been able to finalize this date, from previous “tentative” communications. 

In order to view the YouTube broadcast you will need to follow the link below, and fill out the Google form in order to gain access to the broadcast. This must be done by: Friday, May 28th.

ALSO... Last Call.... If you weren’t able to have a professional Grad photo taken when Edge Imaging was in the building, and still wish to submit a photo of yourself for the slideshow, please send a nice headshot of yourself to Mr. Mutch (s.mutch@tvdsb.ca)
