The Commencement Assembly 2024 power point presentation is now posted on the lower right hand corner of the Oakridge homepage.  Click the "Commencement 2024 Information" link to access the slide show.

All students who started secondary school in the 2020 - 2021 academic year will be participating in this year's commencement ceremony whether or not graduation requirements will be met by June 2024 and/or whether or not a "victory lap" is planned for next school year.

All students who started in the 2020 - 2021 academic school year and all parents/guardians of those students are strongly encouraged to review the presentation for full details on the commencement ceremony, including next steps for students (e.g. completion of grad card by May 29).

Student Dress Guidelines

Thames Valley students come from diverse backgrounds and have diverse identities and experiences. Decisions about dress are personal and reflect individual expression of identity and socio-cultural norms and are therefore important to student well-being.

2nd Semester Full Disclosure Deadline

The deadline for students to drop grade 11 and 12, 2nd semester courses, without it showing up on their transcript is Monday May 6th @ 3:00 pm.  Students must see their Guidance Counsellor for a course drop form, take it home, get it signed, and then returned to the Guidance office by 3:00 pm on Monday May 6th for their grade 11 or 12 course to be dropped in our system BEFORE full disclosure for 2nd semester takes affect for our Oakridge students.

2nd Semester Timetable Change Requests

If you are looking to change your timetable for 2nd semester this year, you may pick up a copy of the Course Change Request form from the Guidance office.  It is located directed inside the door by Ms. Fiest's desk.  You can also access a copy of this form directly from the Oakridge homepage.

Take the form home, fill it out, get it signed, and then return it to the Guidance office ASAP.  Please note: the vast majority of 2nd semester courses at Oakridge this year at all 4 grade levels are currently full with waitlists.  Students need to be fully prepared to engage with their current timetable for 2nd semester, as many requests will not be possible to accommodate for students at this time.  Every attempt will be made by the Oakridge Guidance Counsellors to do so, but available seats, both in-class at Oakridge, and online, are extremely limited.
