Outdoor Scavenger Hunt!

The sun is shining and nature is in full bloom! What a perfect time for an outdoor colour scavenger hunt! Very few materials required & you get to go outside!

Materials:

  • Paper

  • Markers (for colour sheet)

  • Bag for collecting your treasures (optional)

  • Camera for photographing your finds (optional)

  • Pencil for drawing what you see (optional)

There are so many ways that you can do this colour scavenger hunt!

  1. You can make it a race between you and your siblings to see who can find the most items the fastest!

  2. You can make it a physically distanced competition between you and your friends using SnapChat to keep track of who has collected what!

  3. You can challenge yourself to draw what you find instead of picking that beautiful flower off the plant!

  4. You can make a colour collage with all the pictures of what you find.

... And many more!

Here's what I found on a walk through my neighbourhood! What can you find?

Painted Plant Pots!

I don't know about you guys, but I've been out planting things in my garden lately and I thought it would be nice to decorate some plant pots! I found this video of a cute panda bear plant pot, but you could paint your pot to be anything you'd like!

Maybe when you're done painting and decorating your pot you could plant some herbs or flowers in it! Learning to garden is fun - and you could show Mr. Young what you created when we get back to school next year!

Suggested Materials:

  • Plant Pot (can be clay or plastic)

  • Acrylic paint

  • Sharpie

  • Markers (optional)
