Writing a Google Forms Quiz

Quiz Basics for Art

FORMS QUIZZES

Most quizzes will be on Google Forms. Make sure you are logged in on your TVDSB Google account before trying to write a form quiz.

OPEN OR CLOSED?

For this class all at home quizzes will be open and in school tests/quizzes/exams will be closed book. Even if you can see a closed book test online because you are home sick on an in-class day do not open the test. Your in-class test will not be marked unless it was written with teacher supervision.

OPEN BOOK RULES

If you are writing an open book quiz at home, you can take as long as you want and refer to materials from the classroom. Never copy and paste answers from the internet or the classroom materials for long answer questions.

TIME LIMITS

You don't have a time limit on the quiz itself but it will not be available forever. Quizzes will be scheduled to open at the start of the week and close after the due date.

TECH ISSUES

If you have technical issues, email me or leave a private comment on the quiz assignment. Give details of your problem.

ANSWERING LONGER QUESTIONS

Look at how many marks a longer question is worth. This will help you know how much to write. Using sentences will make your answer more clear. Make sure to answer all the parts of a question.

HANDING IN QUIZZES

Make sure to hand in your quiz on the Google Classroom. This will help you get your marks faster and let me know that you are done. There is more information about how to do this below.

GETTING YOUR MARKS

You might see your multiple choice mark right away but if there are longer questions these will not be auto-scored. They will show as zero until I go in and mark them, so don't worry about the original forms score. Your final mark will be on the Google Classroom when the test is fully marked.

Step 1: Use the link and write the quiz.

Step 2: Hit submit and hit view score (long answers will not be scored yet)

Step 3: Copy the URL from the top of the browser

Step 4: Go to Google Classroom assignment and under Add/Create click the link icon and paste in the URL. Then submit.
