In this course, we will cover: number sense & algebra, linear relations, and measurement & geometry.
Instead of the traditional units, we will be following the model of Spiral Math!
What is Spiral Math?

In Spiral Math, we teach the course in “cycles” rather than in “units”, where each cycle covers nearly all strands of the math curriculum.

- Vertical Non-Permanent Surfaces (working on the chalkboards)
- Non-Permanent Surfaces (working on whiteboards)
- Visible Random Groupings (groups and pairs that will change with each activity)
- Practice work - If this is not completed in class, then it is homework
I will update this site every week with the pdfs of the lesson notes - please be aware that not all questions will be answered on the board and it is still important that you take your own written or electronic notes.
