Business & Computer Science 

Montcalm's Business Program exposes students to various aspects of business that will be useful in all aspects of life, whether you are going on to pursue post-secondary studies or entering the workforce after high school. In grades 9 and 10 you can get exposure to Communications Technology and the concepts of business fundamentals, marketing, accounting, entrepreneurship, and finance. In the senior grades we offer courses that specialize in most of these areas. Our classes are largely project based and provide opportunities to create business plans, marketing plans, and operate a business, like the 2019 Zombie Escape Room, or our new school store "The Cougar Brand". The Department is one of only a handful of TVDSB schools that also have an SHSM Program and a DECA Team. Montcalm has everything!

Computer Science at Montcalm prepares students for college and university post-secondary opportunities while integrating real-life applications, relevant and professional software and computer languages, videogames, and developing problem solving skills. This year we were very proud to introduce our Video Game Design course where students worked with industry-standard software Unreal Engine 4.
