Our TVDSB Aviation School offers students across Thames Valley a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in aviation, while earning a five-credit bundle. Based out of Montcalm and our TVDSB airport hangar, a team of educators delivers a collaborative, project-based learning environment. Aviation is one of the fastest growing sectors in Canada's economy and our goal is provide our students an experience that may lead to a career in this exciting field.

Our TVDSB Aviation program is designed for all TVDSB students and we welcome applications from across our Board.  Applications for the 2025/2026 school year will be open soon for current Gr 9 or 10 students! 

Earn your Ontario Secondary School Diploma with a ministry recognized red seal: Specialist High Skills Major in Aviation and Aerospace at TVDSB Aviation School. Aviation School is now a ministry funded SHSM program. We are able to offer enhanced certifications and experiential opportunities along with courses designed for all pathways to post secondary programs in Aviation and Aerospace!! Students in the Grade 11 program will be part of this exciting opportunity and diploma distinction.

Beginning in grade 9, students are able to apply to begin in Grade 10. All students must have completed MTH1W1 AND SNC1W1 prior to Grade 10. There are many possible aviation pathways in our program and beyond.  

Register for the Grade 10, five credit program.  You'll spend 1 semester at your home school and join the TVDSB Aviation School in the opposite semester.  If you wish to continue your Aviation learning with us, opportunities continue into Grades 11 and 12 (see Pathway Chart).

Grade 11 Aviation includes a Dual Credit opportunity at the Fanshawe College hangar during May and June with college instructors.

Many of you may have visited us at the Aviation School table during Airshow London. We will be there again next year......and will also be hosting Grade 6 students across TVDSB at the Airhow as well. Join one of our upcoming information sessions to learn more!
