This year in French our goals are evolving. As grade 6 students we are working on developing our oral fluency, as well as our reading and writing skills.

• Listening strategies to help us understand a range of speakers

• Speaking in French about a range of topics.

• Reading simple sentences to find known words and decode meaning, building up to reading longer passages.

• Writing sentences using familiar vocabulary, and focusing more on verbs and sentence structure.

• Canadian French speaking communities
