On Tuesday, September 6th, 1949, the new "East Middlesex High School" in Arva opened its doors to 600 pupils! The building cost $650,000 and consisted of 22 classrooms and just 23 instructors. Just two weeks later, the Education Board changed the school's name to "Medway" after the winding creek which meanders through most of the local municipalities from which young students were drawn.

Today, Medway has over 60 classrooms, 1500 students and more than 100 staff BUT is still rich in many traditions that started 75 years ago. It is with much excitement and pride that we celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Medway High School this May. We would love for you to join us to commemorate this incredible milestone!
