We can categorize the strategies for students to use to be successful. Not all strategies are applicable to everyone.
These are strategies exclusive to our students with IEPs. Teachers are to implement all accommodations into their teaching practice as they are applicable to the subject area.
These are strategies that ALL students can access. If multiple universal supports need to be in place, it is recommended that your guidance counsellor become involved in the conversation. (see Course Support>Classroom Strategies for some examples)
These strategies are in place as a result of conversations between a guidance counsellor, social worker, LST, parent and/or student. Teachers are aware that the learning needs of the student are changing.
