Homework

Matific Questions - following lessons in class, I will release related questions on the Matific website. Your child can work on assigned work, or they can hone their skills on Adventure Island or in the Training Zone. Your child logs into Matific using their school google account.

Knowledgehook - Once we have worked on a skill in class, I will release Missions for your child to work on. They can also complete other grade two level activities in the Solve It section. They will have to use our class code: 132 9877. Your child's login information can be found in their planner.

Read daily for at least 15 minutes. I will send home two books every Monday. Please complete the accompanying reading log.

Your child will come home with ten spelling words on Mondays. Every Friday, there will be a spelling quiz. The quiz will include those ten words, plus additional words related to what we are working on in phonics class. 

I will also send home a general second grade level practice page every Monday. Please send this back to school in your child's homework bag on Fridays.

Finally, on Fridays, your child will bring home a letter about their week at school. Thank you for responding with your own letter and returning the book to school on Mondays.
