Sustainability in Action

Based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals the TVDSB Environmental Education Management Committee has come up with a Draft Sustainability Plan focused on three main pillars: Energy, Water and Waste. A team of educators, Lindsay Arppe, Lauren Selby, Jenny Madamba, Dan Arppe, Cheryl McLaughlin, in coordination with STEM Learning Coordinators Mandy Cleland and Ryan Dunne and board Sustainability Specialist, Evan Grant, have come up with interdisciplinary inquiry based learning opportunities on these three pillars in the hopes that students and staff across TVDSB can become leaders on the path to a more sustainable future.
