It is important to properly cite the sources you use in your research for a few reasons:
It demonstrates to your teacher that you have conducted proper research by listing all of the sources that you used.
It shows you are a respectful scholar who gives academic credit to the authors and researchers from whom you have borrowed ideas and information.
It prevents you from being accused of PLAGIARISM--a major academic offense!
